“My mother tongue? Hard to say!”

Mireille Jaton grew up in the French and German speaking parts of Switzerland. After completing the Swiss A-level exam 'Matura', she left Zürich for Paris to study theatre sciences at the University Sorbonne. During that period, three years, she also attended acting schools in Paris and London.

The fact that she speaks perfect French, German and English, did come in handy when she started her career in journalism.  For the Swiss television station STAR TV she produced and anchored the show MOVIE NEWS in French and German. During the next three years, she interviewed Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, Oliver Stone and Denzel Washington.

Later Mireille moved on to TELE 24 where she hosted and co-produced the dating show SMS-ICH LIEBE DICH (SMS – I LOVE YOU)  in German.

A Year later she accepted a new challenge with the daily nationally broadcasted show TELESCOOP, which she anchored in French on RTS1. Until recently she presented the real estate TV show WOHNRAUMTV, that was aired daily in the German part of Switzerland.

Mireille Jaton is also interested in the work behind the camera. She produced reports for various TV stations and wrote articles in newspapers like the NZZ AM SONNTAG, TAGES-ANZEIGER and SCHWEIZER ILLUSTRIERTE, leading publications in Switzerland.

In addition to her career, she attended the Swiss Journalism School MAZ in Lucerne, and graduated with flying colors after two years. To perfect her skills as a TV producer, she enrolled in the BBC PRODUCER COURSE in London.

For various TV channels, she creates concepts for programs, accomplishes reports, writes voice-overs and manages entire shows as a producer.
Mireille Jaton’s anchoring skills, her stage experience, and her ease with switching from one language to another are appreciated at national and international events. She has hosted the 60th anniversary of soccer legend Franz Beckenbauer in Morocco, anchored the International Rose d’Or TV Film Festival in Switzerland and presented big events for SIGVARIS in Atlanta USA and Montreal CA.

Glamorous events are up her alley, but she also leads many economic forums with discussion panels.
Mireille is very interested in foreign cultures and regularly takes time off to explore the world.

She used to be a passionate skydiver but since she has become mother of two little girls, she stays on the ground and also appreciates doing nothing at all once in a while.
