The TV series Üse zoo (our zoo) goes back to the successful summer project Üsi Badi of the Swiss TV chanel SRF. During several weeks, six people with a spiritual impediment live and work in the Plättli Zoo in Frauenfeld. Very pregnant Mireille could not take over the lead directing during the shooting and postproduction, but somehow she still managed to film and edit the portraits of the six candidates during pre-production.
Mireille Jaton was the director of the very successful TV series Üsi Badi (our beach bath) on the Swiss national chanel SRF. In cooperation with the production company B&B-Endemol, she co-wrote the script in which six people with mental impediments are integrated into the living/working sphere of a beach bath. The documentary series was distinguished with the Zürich television prize.
The Berlinale with Carlos Leal
To report on film festivals is always fun. Particularly if one can interview stars, or even better: accompany them during the film festival. Mireille Jaton had the chance to do this with the Swiss Shooting star Carlo Leal for the TV show People on Sat1 Switzerland.
Dancing with Tina Turner
Too timid to invite Tina Turner to dance? No problem Roger Schawinski, Mireille is going to do it for you. The result was well worth the effort. The dance of these two put some spice in the report on the Ball of the Opera Zurich that Mireille delivered for the TV station SAT1 Schweiz.
Mireille has not only hosted the show Telescoop on RTS1, she also produced many reports in French for this programme. In this report, she accompanies the Chief of the Engadin Skimarathon during his final preparations for the big event.
